Privacy Policy — Chat Navigator

What we collect

• Account info: email and authentication identifiers when you sign in.
• Saved content you choose to sync: conversation-level and message-level bookmarks, prompt library items, tags, titles, timestamps, and counts.
• Code tools: code blocks you choose to save from a conversation.
• Usage & diagnostics: privacy-respecting event data (e.g., feature used, error types) to keep the product reliable.
• Billing (Pro): payment status, invoices, and receipts handled by Stripe Checkout.
• Support: messages you send to support, and related email metadata.

We do not copy or store your ChatGPT conversations on our servers unless you explicitly save content to sync (e.g., bookmarks, prompts, code). Navigation, outline, and search run locally in the extension UI.

How we use data

• Provide core features (outline, search/filters, bookmarks, prompts, code tools) and sync your saved items across devices.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose issues.
• Process payments for Pro and send transactional emails (e.g., receipts, service notices).
• Respond to support requests and improve the product.

We don’t sell your personal data or use it for targeted advertising.

Payments

We use Stripe Checkout to handle subscriptions and payments. Your payment information is processed by Stripe and never touches our servers. For details, see the Stripe Privacy Policy.

Security & storage

• All data in transit uses HTTPS; data at rest is encrypted by our infrastructure providers.
• Access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel following least-privilege principles.
• Backups are retained for disaster recovery on a limited schedule.

We use reputable cloud providers to host our API and databases. Detailed information is available upon request.

When we share data

We share personal data only with service providers acting on our behalf and only as necessary to deliver the service:

• Payments: Stripe (billing, invoices, receipts).
• Hosting/backup: cloud infrastructure and storage providers.
• Support/diagnostics: email and error reporting tools.

These providers are bound by contracts to use the data only to provide their services to us.

Data retention

• Your saved items stay until you delete them or close your account.
• Backups are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
• Billing records are retained as required by law.

Your choices & rights

• Access & correction: Contact us to access or correct your information.
• Regional rights: Depending on your location (e.g., EU/UK/California), you may have additional privacy rights. We honor valid requests in line with applicable laws.

Children

Our services are not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we’ll update this page and, when appropriate, notify you by email or in-app message. Your continued use after the effective date indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
